What can we do for you?
Our Services

Ensuring the integrity of your home’s basement foundation involves both interior or exterior waterproofing measures, as well as timely crack repairs. Interior and exterior basement waterproof membranes play a crucial role in protecting your home from water intrusion, which can lead to mould growth, structural damage, and a compromised foundation. These membranes act as a barrier, preventing moisture from seeping through the walls and into your living space. Similarly, addressing cracks both inside and outside your basement foundation is essential for maintaining the strength and stability of your home. Proper crack repairs prevent water from entering through these vulnerable points, reducing the risk of further deterioration and costly damage. By combining waterproof membranes with effective crack repairs, you create a robust defense against water damage.

We offer full-service comprehensive wet basement & landscape waterproofing, including:

Cinderblock or poured concrete hairline & structural cracks

Interior & exterior waterproof membranes or wraps

Sump pump/sump pit installation or replacement

Yard/lawn/ground levelling and grading

What Our Valuable Clients Say About Our Waterproofing

Frequently Asked Questions
(FAQ)

Click on the question to reveal the answer.

Are cracks in house foundations common?
Cracks in both poured concrete and cinder block foundations are quite common and usually occur as the foundation settles. Additionally, concrete naturally shrinks during the curing process. While most minor cracks are harmless, over time, larger cracks can develop, allowing water to seep into your basement and potentially signaling more significant structural issues.
Does every foundation crack leak?
No, but any crack running the full length of your basement wall could potentially lead to leaks. Even small foundation cracks that aren’t leaking now could become a problem if they worsen over time. If a crack has leaked once, it’s almost certain it will leak again in the future.
Are foundation cracks serious?
The positive aspect is that the majority of hairline cracks are not indicative of significant problems and can typically be addressed swiftly and effortlessly. As long as these cracks are confined to a hairline form and do not extend horizontally or diagonally along the foundation, or exceed a width of 1/8 inch (or 3.175 millimeters), they usually pose no severe risk. However, it’s important to note that cracks of a larger size or those showing unusual patterns may signal underlying structural issues. Addressing these concerns promptly is crucial to prevent progression of the damage and to avoid escalating repair costs in the future.
What causes basement foundation cracks?

Foundation cracks often result from a combination of factors rather than a single cause:

Movement or Settlement: Over time, all foundations experience some degree of settling as the earth beneath them compresses, shrinks, or shifts. This is a natural process, and typically, the foundation settles uniformly. However, if the settlement is uneven, it can lead to significant cracks over time.

Soil Expansion: In regions with a high concentration of clay (often referred to as expansive clay), the soil can swell significantly when it absorbs moisture. This increase in volume exerts pressure on the foundation, potentially causing it to move or crack.

Extreme Weather Conditions: Severe weather can also contribute to foundation issues. Prolonged hot summers and extremely cold winters can cause unusual ground shifts. During dry summers, the soil may shrink away from the foundation, while freezing winters can cause the ground to expand. The repeated cycle of contraction and expansion can place excessive stress on the foundation, leading to cracks.

Shrinkage During Curing: In the early stages of your home’s life, the concrete foundation may develop small hairline cracks if it dries too quickly during curing. These cracks, when combined with the factors mentioned above, can grow into larger, more problematic cracks.

What if my basement is finished?
If you have drywall or paneling that you prefer not to remove, there is often a viable solution to repair foundation cracks from the exterior of your home. This approach allows for effective repairs without disturbing your interior decor, ensuring that your living space remains intact. By addressing the issue from the outside, you can effectively manage foundation problems while preserving the aesthetics of your home’s interior.
Is it possible to repair cracked basement walls?
Absolutely! However, before embarking on any repairs, it’s crucial to pinpoint the underlying cause of the issue. Our skilled estimators employ advanced thermal imaging technology to detect hidden problem areas that are often overlooked. After thoroughly assessing the situation, we meticulously prepare the site and implement a tailored repair solution specifically designed to address your unique poured concrete foundation concerns. Ignoring the root cause could lead to recurring problems, so we ensure that our approach is comprehensive and effective for lasting results.
How are they repaired?

Our assessment begins with a thorough evaluation to determine whether the damage is merely superficial or if it extends to the structural integrity of the facility. We meticulously analyze whether the affected area is localized or if the damage spreads across a broader section. Next, we inspect the supporting and reinforcing steel for any signs of corrosion or structural compromise. Utilizing our advanced thermal imaging technology, we identify potential areas of heat loss, which may signal the presence of deeper cracks that have yet to manifest on the surface. This comprehensive approach ensures we capture every aspect of the damage, allowing for informed decision-making in subsequent repair efforts.

Concrete crack injections

Our specialized approach offers a lasting solution for basement foundation leaks and cracks through the efficient technique of low-pressure crack injection, utilizing either epoxy or polyurethane foam. This cost-effective method not only delivers quick results but also minimizes disruption to your home. To start, we strategically place injection ports that allow the epoxy or polyurethane to penetrate the cracks effectively. Next, we expertly seal the surface of the affected area with a high-quality epoxy adhesive, ensuring a strong bond. Finally, we meticulously fill the crack with either polyurethane foam or epoxy, tailored to the specific nature of the crack. With our method, you can trust that your basement will be safeguarded against future moisture issues.

Interior Waterproof basement wraps
We take a comprehensive approach to foundation repair by carefully uncovering your foundation walls from the interior. This meticulous process allows us to identify and address any cracks, holes, or other forms of damage before we install a robust waterproof membrane and an efficient drainage system. Our goal is to create a protective barrier that effectively prevents water, moisture, mold, and mildew from entering your basement, ensuring a dry and healthy environment for your home.
Exterior waterproof basement wraps
Our team specializes in revealing and assessing the foundation of your home from the exterior, meticulously inspecting for cracks, holes, or any other issues that could lead to water intrusion. By identifying these potential vulnerabilities early, we can implement the essential repairs needed to safeguard your home. After these repairs are completed, we will equip your foundation with a robust waterproof membrane. This innovative barrier not only fortifies your foundation against moisture but also channels water away into a dedicated drainage system, ensuring that your basement remains dry and protected from the damaging effects of water infiltration.
